Kylla is committed to responsible investing, so the recent agroCIRCLE event, in Greece, was something we just had to support.
During the one-day conference in Thessaloniki, speakers from Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Italy and Spain spoke about circular economy principles and science, and their application to agriculture and livestock farming. Speakers included academics, EU officials, bankers and business people involved in the circular economy. Some 400 people attended the event, and a further 1500 followed it via a live stream.
As a ‘consulting sponsor’, Stergios Stogios, Kylla Director for Greece & the Balkan Region, was present at the event to offer his support. “Within the main event, there was a topic that related to our financing services and other instruments for agriculture and the circular economy,” Stergios says. “We didn’t give a presentation as we felt our solutions were a bit too sophisticated for the event, but we plan to do presentations later in the year.”
The Conference was held under the auspices of the European Commission’s Environment Directorate-General (DG-ENV), the Region of Central Macedonia, the Region of Thessaly and the City of Thessaloniki. The biggest Greek universities, the American Farm School, the Perrotis College and the CERTH (the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas) all provided scientific support.
